While on the surface, high school football may seem like an innocent game played by the young, for the young, it is, in fact, much, much more. For millions, including many fans who are well removed from their high school years but who love to sit in those creaky bleachers every Friday night/Saturday morning, it is something akin to a religion. Director Boaz Yakin's REMEMBER THE TITANS captures the heart of high school football while tackling the sins of its fathers, chronicling the true story of... [Get complete synopsis]

Mood: kill disney!
More like "Remember the Cliches"!
What a load of horse dung. Why did this get favorable reviews by anyone? "Let's all play high school football in peace and harmony as black and white come together and understand each other and win the big games and sing peppy songs and......" COOOME OOON!!!!!!!
Who greenlights this fodder?

Actually Mitch, this "fodder" was based on a true story, which means that it actually happened. I think Disney took a feel-good story, added 1 cup of white stuff, mixed in 1 cup of black stuff, sprinkled on a little Denzel (this guy is ALWAYS great), baked for 3 to 6 months and created a masterpeice. I honestly LOVE this movie, and I've seen it more times than I probably should have.

One time is more than anyone should have! And 'based on a true story' doesn't mean that it happened that way verbatim. They took aspects of some lame team's winning season with an underdog coach and added lots of hokey sugar, no spice, baked for....ah, enough analogies, this is pure shit-on-film. Disney making a feel-good movie? You don't say! The best thing Disney's ever done was that Donald Duck pro-tax, pro-gun, anti-Nazi propaganda film from WWII! (And 'Finding Nemo')
They should just re-title this flick "Ocean's College Football Team".

Lol (reading above).

Mitch, you and I need to sit down one Saturday afternoon and do a back to back re-watch of Rudy and this. If there่s some time afterwards, we can throw on Ghost & The Darkness for good measure.

I really dont know how you can hate some of these movies that I love. I guess thats the fun of this web site.

Now Im going to go see what Mitch thought of Coach Carter.

I will not rewatch any of those, and I stand by my ratings. Until a quality film of this genre is made, I will eschew nothing but bitter bitter venom !!

Actually, a quality film of "this genre" is Invictus. Moreover, I can say with confidence, that despite some elements devised for story telling purposes, the way it happened in the movie is the way it happened.

What's your rating of this movie?
