Director(s): David Zucker, Robert K. Weiss

A slapstick spoof of police thrillers and action films by the makers of "Airplane." Lieutenant Frank Drebin, comic cop and master car-crasher, must protect Queen Elizabeth II, when world terrorists target her for assassination during her visit to the United States. Despite this high-level assignment, Frank still has time to fall in love with a younger woman along the way.

Super funny. when this came out, it was the funniest movie I had ever seen. there are tons and tons of the visual gag jokes (along the lines of Airplane, Top Secret etc..). The 2nd & 3rd installments were not as good, but this one was great. OJ Simpson as Norbert...great stuff.

"Hey, It's Enrico Polatso!"

When Drebbin starts singing at the ballgame - I split my gut every time I see this!! Hilarious comedy - one of the best ever!!

Hilarious from start to finish. The sequels were inevitable and less funny, but this stands out.
"Everything I see reminds me of her..."

"I must kill the Queen!"

Mood: Feeling dramatic!
Freakin' hysterical film. I cried from laughing so hard...

I still quote from the preview to this one: "...and Reggie Jackson in his first dramatic role!"

I love that; "his first dramatic role"!

"Nice beaver."
"Thanks, I had it stuffed this morning."

Great stuff.

I actually just re-watched this afternoon. It was on the dish. Still a GREAT comedy. I have seen it dozens of times, and I was still laughing out loud. The whole ending at the baseball game is great

"HEY! It's Enrico Palatzo!!"

This scene also cracks me up EVERy time I see it

"Oops, sorry fellas"

Yeah, I saw it this afternoon too!
I also noted that Reggie Jackson now has his SECOND dramatic role....in 'Benchwarmers'. **GROAN**
Anyways, still crack up when Stepahnie the student driver screams with her hair full of glass.
