This is a classic sci-fi (for me anyways). I grew up with this. It doesn't hold up that well now, but it's still pretty cool for it's day. The droids are neat-o. Vincent (the flying R2D2 type droid) and Maximillion (The Red guy). The double spouted laser guns were a neat touch. I used to make toy ones out of paper towel roles and black marker. The ship being destroyed by the meteor shower was actually very well done.

Where did you see this?! I only saw it once as a kid and remember loving it. I have always wanted to see it again, but have never seen it in any video store.

I remember collecting the toys from Shreddies cereal boxes.

Oh, the bittersweet memories of youth...

Effects-wise, I think it still looks better than Tron! Had fun re-watching it a while back. Nice cast too....Ernest Borgnine, Robert Forster, Anthony Perkins....there are actually a few spooky scenes too. Fun sci-fi, from Disney no less.
