Saw this last night 'cuz it was on after my "Dead Like Me"...awful, simply awful.

I mean, the first one is SIMPLY GENIUS, but this one is a typical "cash-in" on the predecessor's popularity...

Oh look, they brought back the effeminate air traffic controller guy who blurts out strange lines...ho ho. Awful.

come on Mike, It wasn't THAT bad. I know it doesn't touch the original but it's still funny. Isn't this the one with Shatner at the end...I actually liked that guy in this one. I do admit that out of all the sequals I can think of, this one has the most re-hashed jokes of the bunch.

It sucked like a hoover.

It sucked like a dime-store hooker.

It sucked like a sea-side trollop at low tide.

...must I go on?

As much as Total recall?

WOAH! Let's not go THAT far...

I DID give it a star 'cuz I DID chuckle a couple of times at the jokes like:

"Oh MY god, look at the clock!"
"What is it?!"
"It's a circular thing on the wall that tells time, but that's not important right now!"

ho ho. Zzzzz

Not the best sequel, but i'm a sucker for the sight gags films. Anyways, my best memory of this was that I saw it in the theaters with my Darrell, my dad, and Jeff.
The previous week, Jeff's dad had gotten us tickets for a Habs/Nordiques game at the Forum.
So the following week, I suggested to my dad that it would be nice to take Jeff along when we went to see this. My dad was a little perturbed that he had to pay for another kid, just because Jeff's dad scored us some hockey tickets, but he's a cheapo anyways.

To quote my esteemed colleague:

a movie that only a little girl or a fag could love

Words to live by.

Ah memory lane. I remember going to that hockey game. Do you remember eating KFC at my grandparents' appartment in Snowdon?!

As for the film, I remember laughing hysterically. Mind you, I was maybe 12 years old.

I don't remember the KFC part! Nor ever meeting your grandparents. I remember your dad picking us up at the Forum after the game though. Go Doug Wickenheiser!

Airplanes 1 & 2 were on in succession last night so we rewatched both. I stand by my rating here - yes I laughed a lot, but it was almost EXACTLY the same jokes from the first film, over and over.
Still, funny jokes!

"Do you movies about gladiators, billy?"

classic stuff. I also stand by my rating. #2 still made me laugh, but most of the jokes were just re-done.

"he has a BA..?"
"No, not a ba...a bomb!"

funny funny stuff

What's your rating of this movie?
