Do we dare get into all the Bond films?? I've seen them all, but several stand out for me. Although everyone loves Connery, I am actually a big Roger Moore fan (most likely cause I grew up in the 80's. I actually find him to be the "funny" Bond. This one was good. The ending was a little lame with Jaws saving their lives and then spending the rest of his floating through space with that nerdy girlfriend of his.

I DIDN'T like Moore because he was too 'funny'.
Nonetheless, he did make some good Bond films.
I didn't mind the Jaws character saving them at the end. He did it for LOVE! Comments, Jeffy?

Mood: Big french test tomorrow
Having watched 15 Bond movies since Jan 15, I have to agree with Mitch that they all sorta blend in together. I can barely dicipher one from the other. The ones that really stand out are From Russia with Love, Goldfinger, The Spy Who Loved Me, and For Your Eyes Only (only because that was the first one I ever saw, plus it has Topal in a non-fiddler-on-the-roof role!).

Moonraker, I can barely remember, and I saw it like a month ago. It was too much designed to capture the SpFX craze that Star Wars started. Anyhow, like Deril, I never minded Moore. Connery is definitely the coolest, but Moore did bring a certain smirk to the role that I always liked. Moonraker can't really rank among the best of the Bond films.

I also agree about the blending. The things I remember are the corny space battles and the first appearance of Jaws, one of the coolest Bond villans ever.

French Test?
Jefferygn wrote on May 12, 2005, 7:48 am
Us civil servants have to take french tests, i.e., demonstrate our bilingualism, if we want to have a career. I'm okay for now as I am in a position rated as "English Essential", meaning that I don't need french officially at all (the reality is another story). However, I have already been passed over for a small promotion because they didn't know what my french level is. So, today I take the first of three tests (oral, written, comprehension). MF!

Ironic that you move away from Quebec and get a French test!

What's your rating of this movie?
