Here's another brilliant Tom Cruise movie. A great story of a military court case. Nicholson is in the movie for all of 10 minutes and should have won an Oscar hands down. He is SO DAMN GOOD that it's just not funny.
Nicholson "You want the truth?"
Cruise "I Want ANSWERS!!"
Nicholson" YOU WANT THE TRUTH??"

One of the greatest lines ever in cinema. That scene is the essence of great acting. All the side cameos are good too. Sutherland, Demi Moore is actually not half bad in this one. From here she went on to make G.I.Jane (which I never saw), but co-starred Viggo Mortenssen. Also, a good 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon movie....Hey Derek, howcome the Kevin Bacon game isn't working on the site?

What a crock of dung.
Nicholson was good. That's it.

I actually watched this today and thought it was better than the last time I'd seen it. I think you've gone completely mental. The last 10 movies we have been on complete opposite sides. I agree that this isn't the best movie ever, but the acting all around is EXCELLENT. Cruise, Kevin Pollack, Nicholson, Keifer Sutherland, Kevin Bacon - they were all REALLY strong in this movie). Even Demi Moore wasn't aweful. The story is strong and the last 1/2 hour of court room drama is so well written. You are out of your tree here.

I agree with Deril. You're starting to lose it, Mitchy. Better call for some professional help or switch over to the POT side!

Makes me wonder if Mitch doesn't wake up in the morning, wish he was dead, then realize he can make his life a little better by shitting on good movies and starting arguments here on the site.

*shrugs* Whatever.

This was an awesome film. Sorkin's dialogue, tight and inspiring and hilarious, coupled with the tension of a truly interesting courtroom drama, made for a great movie.

What's your rating of this movie?
