A modern-day, pure sci-fi classic.
Best to go in cold - I knew the premise: crew of one man on a three-year lunar mining contract. I will not reveal anything beyond that. This is real sci-fi - no scary-jump-moments or sudden unexplained aliens, just a good solid story with plausible twists and a tour-de-force acting job by Rockwell. Spacey providing the voice of GERTY (think HAL 9000/Mother) is a nice touch. Good tones of isolation, desperation, confusion & frustration. Highly recommended.

Oh, and for Jeffy: one of the producers of this film is Trudie Styler, a.k.a. Sting's wife.

Moon, eh?

I knew, KNEW, someone was gonna do that. Someone classy.

quite frankly, I\'d be worried if someone DIDN\'T do it!

fyi, I am PLONT after all

It's already on my Zip list. Looking forward to it. But not for any Sting/Trudie Styler reasons. I got VERY sick of Sting around 1995. Man did he ever start to suck!

Correction: TANTRIC sucking!

How does Zip work...colour me intrigued...I keep seeing the commercial and wanting SO bad to get rid of the terrible "Movie Network" and their crappy choice of movies...

Incidentally, if you've noticed, I've been watching about a movie a day recently....Deril showed me a site called icefilms.info and I am hooked on free movies. Hooked, I tells ya! I had to download a small app so it would run with my Quicktime, and voilą. A film will take about 30 minutes to download, I watch and then delete. Sweet.

I've watched about 1/3 of this so far. Totally into it. I hope to watch the rest tonight. So far it's for sure 4 stars and it's kind of like a good book that you can't put down and once you do, can't wait to get back to.

"Good book, eh?"

Agreed, a pretty good film, but I didn't lurve it, as Mikey would say.
