What's the only thing scarier than flesh-eating fish? Flesh-eating fish in 3-D! With THE HILLS HAVE EYES director Alexandre Aja at the helm, horror fans can expect less camp and more carnage in this remake of the Joe Dante film PIRANHA

Okay, if I'm rating this purely on Boobage?
189 gazillion stars!!!
I swear, there's more T&A here than I'd ever expected, and I'm talking extended scenes of gratuitous nudity. You see, Jerry O'Connell's character plays a porn director, so....there you have it!
But nudity aside, this is PLONT all the way, in the best intentional way. Basic 'scientific' set-up to explain the piranhas, and then full-on feeding frenzy for 90 minutes. The deaths are plentiful and imaginative and no explicit gore is spared (Eli Roth in a small cameo was a nice touch/homage), and speaking of homages, Richard Dreyfuss has one scene in which he's wearing the same clothes he wore in 'Jaws' and then meets a grisly end. This film has it's tongue FIRMLY planted in its cheek and knows it, and has fun with it, and thus it is fun to watch. This would've been a sure winner for a Manosfest. We didn't see it 3D, but you can tell which parts were meant for the medium, as there are many shots of blood, guts, puke, and various body parts hurled at you from time to time, not to mention the piranhas. You'll smile at the small but ludicrous roles by Christopher Lloyd (still nutso after all these years) and Ving Rhames, and the action is pretty much non-stop right up to the final seconds of the film, which went out on the perfect note. PLONTers rejoice, this one's for you! MOTORBOAT!!

Duly added to my "MUST SEE" list!

Yes, a "must see".....for Mikey anyway.
Again, keeping in mind the type of movie we are watching and that they don't take it too seriously, this is hands down a 4 star outing. Mitch & I had so much fun watching it and that's really the bottom line.

Also has a couple of lines that we'll be saying for a while (but don't want to give anything away here).

also also, more blood and guts than I've seen in a while. Wonder what the budget for fake blood was?

Best extended underwater nude scene ever!

Deril wrote on December 21, 2010, 10:54 am
this went on for about 2 minutes !!

According to "Mr. Skin.com" (who apparently is pretty big in the world of seedyness - he's even appeared on Entertainment Tonight and KISS FM) - the underwater scene has WON the "Best Nude Scene" of the year.

4-stars! FOUR STARS!!

FINALLY saw this - and it didn't fail to disappoint...hell, "fun" gore and wall-to-wall T&A and hey, even a floating wazzoo for the ladies!

My ONLY complaint is it didn't really NEED to be Pirhana's - basically ANY creature could have driven this plot - it was basically a nail to hang scenes of boobs on...

But the addition of a in-movie filming of a porno to EXPLAIN why they had 2 full minutes of underwater skin set to the Lakmé Flower Duet was a stroke (!) of brilliance.

Not that I'm complaining...far from it, I could have watched that for 2 hours....but I digress.

Now bring on the inevidible sequel!

P.S. Watching the credits now - alot was filmed in Montreal. NO WONDER the women are all hawte...

What's your rating of this movie?
