As far as Carey goes this isn't one of his finer moments. There are some very funny scenes here & there, but my biggest complaint with this movie is that the writing was weak. It seems like they just wanted to cash in as quick as they could on the success of the first one and just made a so-so movie with little effort put into it. The first one also had a better supporting cast and this one had nothing and no one for Carrey to work with.
Still funny enough for a watch if you like Jim's schtick. If you don't like his usual stuff, than avoid this at all costs.
personally, I place it in the "meh" category
Does this have the scene where he hides in a fake hippo or something and it looks like the hippo gives birth to him?
stumbled across this too (not that I'd ever have the chance to play this with anyone.
The "Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls" Drinking Game!
Drink Every Time . . .
1. Anyone says "Ventura"
2. Ace makes or plays a joke on anyone
3. Anyone says "Wachati"
4. Guano is shown or mentioned
5. Ace's monkey, Spike, is on screen
6. Anyone is physically injured
7. The chorus says "Shakaka"
AND IF YOU REALLY, REALLY, REALLY WANT TO GET WASTED . . .
STOMACH PUMP ALERT! Anytime an animal appears on screen. STOMACH PUMP ALERT!
Never saw the whole thing so I won't rate it (but I'm sure it's ETB, given my distaste for the first one), however I did see that rhino scene and it IS disgustingly humourous and memorable.
well, with all due respect. If you only saw a couple of parts and one was very funny, then it can't possibly be ETB.
I own this. You can borrow, watch and then bomb it all you want.
Hey, it does have a monkey. That means you have to give it at least 1 star
'Crystal Skull' had monkeys - the monkey rule is out the window now.
I saw more than the rhino scene, it's just the only scene I remember. I don't recall chuckling once during the rest that I saw. I have no interest in the film. I will leave well enough alone.
maybe the next time you break your leg?
