Well, we were bound to get around to this one, eh Derek? Can of worms...opened!
Either you loved it or hated it. Obviously I loved it. Great intertwining stories and characters (Hey Darrell, it's Tom Cruise in a GOOD performance! NO planes or racing cars here!)
and those frogs from the sky? Genius!
Not a happy movie over all, but life's like that Derek! Stick it!
I agree mith Mitch (accept about Tom Cruise - I can't think of too many bad Tom Cruise movies, he's one of the best - Days of thunder & MI2 both sucked). Anyways, this is a great movie. Seen a couple of times and it doesn't tire. The cast is excellent, story is so well put together.
I can't blame you guys for your taste, which is why you're in the PLONT. But nevertheless, this was one hell of a crappy movie. One of my most hated! If I had a rating less than bomb, then this would get it.
Raining frogs? Gimme a stinking break! They couldn't figure out how to end this stinker, so "let's throw some frogs at them."
Y'know, I'd expect more open-mindedness from YOU of all people Derek.....you sound like Teeee.
One of Derek's favourite movie moments....
This just in - true story: A friend of mine in Ottawa, who is in the film biz and an e-Bay nut, has purchased about 150 of the famed fake frogs that were used as props in 'Magnolia'. They are in his basement and will be used by himself as props for a short film and/or music video (I forget which) he is trying to get off the ground. Neat!
C O O L !!!
