Okay, okay, I can admit when a bad movie is just so bad that's it's bad, not good. I had a very high Spice Girl phase when they were popular (so did Jeff! Yes, Jeff Nerenberg! And they didn't even sing about the Holocaust!) and somehow dragged about 8 people to see this with me in the theater. It was pure self-indulgent, cash-in-while-we're-hot tripe, and I fell for it! I'd like to apologize to those I dragged with me. I remember enjoying it more for the fact that I just got to gaze at the Spice Girls on a big screen for two hours, and that I dragged everyone with me somehow. Again, sorry!
I'd also like to state that someone bought me this movie on VHS and I haven't watched it since I saw it in the theater!
Liked it at the time when the Spice Girls where popular. I bought it on Video for $2.99 years ago. However, it truely is a bad movie, and I'll never watch it again.
All I recall is that it was about 6 FULL GROWN MEN in a theatre FILLED TO THE RIM with 11 year old girls. Never before have I felt like such a perv. The parents of the younger aged girls were GLARING at us suspiciously.
And for what? SPICE GIRLS!?!!
I have to admit to enjoying this movie, and the Spice Girls, at the time. Not sure how well it stands up against the test of time, but definitely fun eye candy.
Yes, it's bad, but NOT the worst film ever.
I'm looking at YOU Stargate.....
....and YOU Mr. Douglas....
...and YOU talking zebra....
...and especially YOU Facts of Life Reunion (minus Jo)!
