How was this never rated.

Mitch you are nuts, buddy.

Most people LOVE this movie. Tucker & Chan have an excellent chemistry that is very hard to find in these buddy-cop flicks. I think that part 2 is the better film, but a great story, original, great & memorable characters and lots of fun.

I'm sorry to come back to this, but Deril, I notice you use the 'Most people loved this' argument a lot, and the 'it made 40 billion dollars at the box office' argument, and the '30 million viewers tune in every week to see American Idol' argument quite often.
There is no acounting for taste, true enough, but you will never go broke appealing to the lowest common denominator.
Most often, the demographic you speak of are people who spend lots of time watching TV or seeing every movie that comes out. Take mom and Allan for instance: they are smart people, but you and I both know that they will rent ANYTHING they haven't yet seen. I can recall several occasions when they've come home from the video rental store with inane movies, saying "Well, it looked kinda dumb, but we haven't seen it!".
I am not cleansing myself of my purposeful PLONT rentals - hey, Manos-fests are fun in the right company - but your arguments just don't hold water.
Rest assured, movies like 'Norbit' and 'Big Momma's House 2' and any other ones featuring guys in fatsuits will undoubtedly always make their money back, because you keep going to see them.
