For the record, I'm giving this half a star.
My mom and step-dad took my bro, my step-sister and I (and possibly a few more random neighbourhood kids) to see this in the theater way back when.
Thing is, I never asked to go. It was a 'family film day' or some such nonsense, and so off we were dragged. I hate 98% of musicals. This one was saccharine to the max. I think my step-sister really liked it, and I even recall Darrell humming the tunes afterwards, but I just wanted to POL.
The words 'family film day' should be a warning to all 11 year-old boys.......run! Run while you can!
you crazy baby!
This is a classic family musical and the movie was quite good. It was on te dish recently and I PVR'd it for Syd. She was not too interested, but probably because she is one.
PS, as my hair keeps getting thinner & thinner, I look more & more like Daddy Warbucks
So I picked this up at Walmart for $5.00 (canèt really go wrong.
Syd LOVES it. I guess she is at the perfect age now. Itès her new Friday & saturday stay-up-late movie of the past few weeks.
Itès really a good movie & musical. I did enjoy this as a kid and it holds up pretty well now.
As the new saying goes.....we have seen worse.
"Crisp and clean and no caffeine! AHHHHH!!!!
