Can't believe this wasn't posted.
I know I will be in minority here, but I L O V E D this movie. Thought it was great. Story was great. Lots of twists. Didn't expect the ending with Jon Voigt being still alive and evil. Loved that Emilio was killed in the first scene. Cruise was good "You've never seen me very upset". Cast was great. Action was cool & original. The whole scene of breaking into the vault was very memorable and has since been replicated on several movies. Great direction by Brian De Palma

Had some good scenes, but it remains completely forgettable aside from the overuse of everyone and his mom ripping a mask off to reveal that it wasn't the person you thought it was (again)!
And more scenes of people outrunning fireballs and explosions. I wish Jeff worked as a pyro expert on half of these film sets to show people what would REALLY happen if such explosions went off.
Camera rolling....and....what do you mean we're using REAL acid....????
"My eyes! The goggles do nothing!"

Yup, I'm with Mitchay on this one; completely forgetable. I do remember one scene, however: that spectacular shot inside the Channel Tunnel when he gets blown from the exploding helicopter onto the train. Completely idiotic and unrealistic. But, given a reasonable suspension of disbelief, why-o-why did they show this clip in every commercial and trailer? It was a classic case of blowing one's wad a tad early. After seeing that in the commercials, there was nothing left to be seen on screen.

Except that dog outrunning the fireball!!
Oh wait, that was 'Independence Day'.

Not to add fuel to Tweedle Dumb and Tweedle Dumber's arguments above but I actually DON'T REMEMBER a thing about this film.

I KNOW I saw it, I KNOW (obviously) about the vault break-in scene and the Chunnel chase, etc. but don't remember ANYTHING about the plot...what was the Impossible Mission again? Who were the antagonists?

Who am I?

I DO remember that I LOATHED the second film, simply 5-6 scenes in the entire movie...ALL shot in slow motion, but I digress...

My review will be pending another viewing (but don't hold your breath....)
