Not my favourite Coen Bros. film but compelling enough nonetheless, mostly because of standout performances in a great ensemble cast (Turturro, Finney, Polito, Byrne, Harden, Buscemi....).
The cinematography is fresh and sweeping and the mood is dark, I just found the story itself to be underwhelming and limited. Nothing terribly new in terms of gangster flicks, but a fine film overall.
Love the scene with Turturro pleading for his life in the woods.
