Director(s): George Huang

Synopsis

Buddy Ackerman is a vicious, egomaniacal, tyrannical, back-stabbing movie mogul. Guy is the idealistic, easily intimidated, put-upon assistant who now works for Buddy. Their relationship could be described as sado-masochistic: Buddy treats his employee like a slave and constantly yells vitriolic insults at him. Guy, tail between his legs, always acquiesces. But Guy eventually becomes fed-up with his boss, so much so that he exacts revenge--in a rather violent, torturous way...

A really good Boss-From-Hell flick. Spacey is excellent as a Hollywood producer, constantly insulting, degrading and humiliating his employees, particularily Whaley's character - his new personal assistant.
No doubt we've all been in this uncomfortable situation with one job or other (I've had plenty, particularily producer-types). It hits a lot of truths, even though it's a little over-the-top at times. I've always wanted to grip my hands around the throats of a few old bosses....

Decent film, but all I could throughout was how if I were Kevin Spacey I would treat Frank Whiley the same way. What a whiny little geek/dork/irritant. He *deserved* to be treated like shite.

True enough, his character was annoying. This was all Spacey.
