Remember the genre that was 'the ninja flick'?
HUGE market in the mid-80's - my brother and I would rent anything that had the word 'ninja' in it. I believe we would try to dress up like ninjas and fight it out. I even bought some real throwing stars and nunchunks at some point.
Well, it was fun when I was 13, but these movies were really bad. We ate it up though.
I'm sure I saw a few of the sequels, but this is the only one I pseudo-remember.
"Only a Ninja can kill a Ninja!"

This was AWESOME !!!

Forgot about all those Ninja flicks. I was 10 at the time and truely thought I could grow up to be a ninja. I used to make little puppet ninja dolls and those paper ninja stars.

Mitch, the line "only a ninja can kill a ninja" was not from the American Ninja flicks, but from the Sho Kasugi movies (Enter the Ninja, Return of the Ninja etc). I'll try and post them when I have more time.

I have to rate this on how much I loved it back then. I'm sure I wouldn't even sit through it now, but when I was 10 this was 4 star material.

however, I am NOT 10 anymore so here you go...

Anyone remember "The Master"? The really bad TV show starring Lee Van Cleef as a ninja during the 80's ninja craze?
Well MST3K does a treatment of 'Master Ninja II' which is essentially the pilot from 'The Master' strung together with another long episode to make a pseudo-full-length-Master-ninja-movie.

What's your rating of this movie?
