Synopsis

Shakes the Clown (Goldthwait, who also wrote and directed) drinks too much, is late to birthday parties and his girlfriend calls it quits when he misses her big bowling tournament. I rented this ages ago based solely on the tag line, "The Citizen Kane of alcoholic clown movies." (I also like Bobcat Goldthwait).
It was alright, pretty dark and disturbed at points, but peppered with funny stuff. Also has a hilarious scene with Robin Williams as a mime instructor.
Clowns are funny when they're NOT funny, i.e. evil, sinful, morally depraved....kinda reminds me of Obnoxio D. Clown from the old 'Crazy' magazines.

Saw this a LOOONG time ago, and hated it. I hopnestly don't remember too much, but remember it being meh, at best.

Ps. Clowns are scary, plain & simple.
